Recycle-a-Bicycle is an innovative, fun youth training and environmental education initiative that has taken root in New York City public schools and respected after-school youth programs.

Recycle-A-Bicycle promotes everyday bicycle use, and it is a great place to learn bicycle mechanics, interact with positive, forward-thinking NYC youth. Our retail shops are the place to find that city bike you need.

Cycle Craft Event- Take your imagination for a ride while building site-specific sculpture from used bicycle parts. Come help us build something with Recycle-A-Bicycle's Teaching Artist Pasqualina Azarello. This event takes place rain or shine. (more info)

>>> Support our work while you "Escape New York": The New York Cycle Club presents its annual fundraising classic, Escape New York, on September 20, 2008.   Proceeds this year go to Recycle-A-Bicycle and Transportation Alternatives.   Starting and ending in Manhattan, scenic routes of 50, 65 or 100 miles take riders over the George Washington Bridge and through the historic West Hudson Highlands.  All riders get a chance at ENY Raffle's Grand Prize, a Trek Madone 5.2.  Also on tap: a unique giveaway, well-stocked refueling stops featuring H&H bagels, post-ride Manganaros heros, and an exciting Flat-Fixing Contest with prizes by Sugoi.   For more information, please click here.
